Vektor

About Vektor

Vektor is an American thrash metal band from Tempe, Arizona. They formed in December 2002 under the name Locrian, and released a demo album in 2006 titled Demolition. The band started something new with their music, combining progressive metal with high pitched screaming vocals, technical thrash metal, and speed metal. Their unique and masterful take on these genres brought them into the Phoenix metal scene. Right after, they created a follow-up demo, Hunger For Violence. It was four years of local playing until they were included in a tour with bands like Testament, Municipal Waste, and Iced Earth. In 2009, they released their first full-length album, Black Future. In 2011, they released another album, Outer Isolation. Both albums were released under Heavy Artillery Records. In 2012, the band signed with Earache Records. After four more years of touring and their relocation to Philadelphia, the band released their latest album, Terminal Redux, in 2016. This album is over seventy minutes long and tells a science fiction story track by track with a total of ten song.
